In a hush-hush directive, the Government of India has asked all the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in India to ban various blogging sites. The government has so far not issued any official release but analysts believe that the prime reason behind the government’s move is to prevent sleeper terrorist cells from accessing instructions contained in blogs. It is seen as a preventive measure to control the spread of sensitive information and communication between terrorist groups through blogs.
