India Social Forum (ISF) is the third event organized by the World Social Forum India, after the Asian Social Forum in Hyderabad in 2003 and the World Social Forum in Mumbai 2004.

The ISF will deliberate on the theme Building Another World: Visions for Future and will spotlight many burning social issues during the event’s course.

With an expected visitor turnout of 60,000 people from all over the world, representing diverse movements and organizations, the November 9-13 ISF in New Delhi will mark a watershed in social conventions held in India

 

ISF aims to take the alternative route for building a better world, free of economic entrapments of globalization, and Merinews is steadfast in its objective of placing the modern tools of communications in the hands of the citizens to report and comment on anything that affects and touches their lives , ensuring their participation in the crucial information and opinion-sharing democratic process.

A team of dedicated citizen journalist volunteers will cover the ISF directly from the venue. They will report the event in real time, post comments and hold interviews .
